The goal
What we did
Extensive manual accessibility audit
Reporting
Automatic accessibility testing
Creation of an Accessibility statement
Our approach
Manual audit of the digital product
To start the manual audit, we began with a brief analysis to determine the scope. This involves asking essential questions such as:
What are the most frequently used screens or user journeys on the website?
How big are the differences between the components on the various pages?
Are users already experiencing any specific problems?
Once we have clarity on this, we can start the manual audit.
During this phase, we use the supporting tools that people with disabilities also use. These include screen readers, magnifiers, specific combinations of browsers and operating systems or, for example, a braille display.
Violations or potential areas for improvement are identified and documented in detail.
During the documentation process, the following information can be provided:
What the observation is about, by providing a title
e.g. the main landmark must contain all of the page's primary content
How big is the impact to the end user
e.g. critical, has the highest impact to the user.
Which target group can best solve this problem
e.g. developers, UI designers, Content teams or managers, …
The results
Insights on accessibility flaws
Monitoring accessibility via automatic checks
Accessibility statement in line with EAA
Transparent Accessibility score of the website
